A MAN has been hospitalised after being attacked by a gang of teens in a quiet residential area.
The 32-year-old was on a pathway near Earlston Crescent in Coatbridge on Thursday evening when a group of male youths descended on him.
He was attacked at around 7.30pm.
Following the assault, the victim was rushed to hospital to be treated for his injuries before later being discharged.
Officers are now hunting for the gang of suspects, who are described as being aged between 15 and 16 and wearing dark clothing.
Detective Constable Lyndsay McKinnon of Coatbridge CID said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to come forward.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around that time.
“Anyone who may have information which could assist our enquiries are asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3070 of Thursday, September 29, 2022.
“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
