Discount retailer Poundland has made moves to take over a unit in Glasgow's Southside.
The store has asked Glasgow City Council for permission to display its signage at units 6 to 8, 91 to 111 Crown Street Retail Park in the Gorbals.
The retail park is already home to major names including Burger King, Costa, Aldi, Greggs, Food Warehouse and B&M.
Aldi opened their supermarket in the summer of 2020 at the park which is off Cathcart Road.
We previously reported that Poundland had permanently closed its Union Street and Partick stores.
Poundland was founded in 1990 and has stores in the city's Trongate, The Forge shopping centre, Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street.
