People from businesses across Glasgow were challenged to ‘boycott their beds’ for charity last weekend.
As part of a national event, a total of 50 participants dug out their sleeping bags to spend a night at the Blythswood Gardens on Friday, October 7 raising over £23,000 in aid of Action for Children.

All of the money raised will go towards helping vulnerable families this winter, providing them with essentials like warm clothes and hot meals or support with energy bills and mental health.
Before braving the elements, representatives from businesses including Scottish Enterprise, CCL Logistics and Harvey Nash met with Action For Children staff and heard from young people who shared stories of their experiences with the charity.

Grant McFarlane, Senior High Value Relationship Manager at Action for Children, said: “Boycott Your Bed turned out to be another fantastic fundraising event and we’re extremely grateful for everyone who took part and donated.
“The children, young people and families we help are facing a grim winter and beyond as the cost-of-living crisis escalates.
“Boycotting your bed helps Action for Children in our mission to provide emotional and practical support to those suffering the most during this time.”
Formerly known as Byte Night, Boycott Your Bed is now in its 25th year having raised more than £13 million for Action For Children to date.
