Commuters faced travel chaos this morning thanks to an unlikely trespasser on the Kingston Bridge.
At around 10.26am, Traffic Scotland released confirmed that traffic had ground to a halt on the M8 as drivers found themselves stuck behind a lone swan.
Sharing a photo of the bird in front of a long line of vehicles they warned: "Traffic slowing Eastbound on the Kingston Bridge due to a swan walking on the carriageway.
"Please take care when approaching."

The post has since racked close to 50 likes as Twitter users weigh in on the bizarre incident.
One person said: "What on earth?
"That's a new one."
Another joked "Just winging it."
At 10.36am it was confirmed that traffic was once again on the move with the swan safely removed.
