Still Game stars are set to swap Craiglang for the carnival this month with a day of foodie fun in Glasgow city centre.
Scottish comedy favourites Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill will be just one team of many exhibitors gathering to share their wares at the Discovery 2022 trade show at Platform on Tuesday, October 25.
The duo will meet and greet fans while signing bottles of their own Jack and Victor whisky and gin, named after their unforgettable TV personas, alongside the likes of Panther Milk and Harris Gin.
Hailed as one of the “biggest food and drink events in Scotland” the fun fair-themed industry event is hosted by local wholesalers and distributors Dunns Food and Drink.
This is the first time that the show will take place in person since 2019 with a variety of traders invited to showcase the finest of Scottish produce from cocktails to comfort foods.
Julie Dunn, operations director at Dunns Food and Drinks, said: “It’s a very big event for us and we’re really excited, given it’s the first time we’ve been able to have everyone together for a show since the pandemic.
“The theme of 2022 is ‘Discovery’ and we’ve challenged suppliers to really think about what they’re bringing to the sector in terms of new product development.
“As you’d expect, we’ve had a brilliant response, particularly from local producers, many of which have launched during lockdown, and we’ve been very keen to support them.”
The event is free to attend with attendees encouraged to register here.
