A film festival celebrating Cuban cinema is coming to Glasgow.
The Havana Glasgow Film Festival (HGFF) will host a number of live events across multiple city venues, including CCA, Glasgow Film Theatre and Glasgow Women's Library.
HGFF is celebrating 20 years of Glasgow and Havana being twin cities, and the 2022 theme showcases the work of Black Cuban filmmakers, in particular Black female directors.
In what would have been her 80th birthday week, the festival will screen the work of respected filmmaker Sara Gomez.

Guests can expect to see the premiere of the newly digitised Isle of Pines trilogy, her feminist documentary My Contribution (Mi Aporte) and the political romantic drama One Way or Another (De Cierta Manera).
There will also be a Festival Party on November 12 at Saramago Café in CCA, with a set from Cuban DJ Cami Layé Okún.
The Festival's director, Eirene Houston, said: “I was in Cuba recently and I want to let you know how important what we do is to the people of Cuba.
"Our opening night at the CCA is a showcase of emerging Black filmmaking talent and they are thrilled to be part of our festival, which gives a much-needed international platform to filmmakers.”
