A recent Glasgow mural has been painted over.
The piece of art in Dennistoun depicted a pair of shoes and was commissioned by retailer Clarks.
It was painted a few weeks ago and has caused controversy amongst locals due to its commercial nature.
Despite it being an advert, however, many people were happy to see it going up as it brought a "much-needed splash of colour".
It was the work of London-based artist Josephine Hicks.

Now, the painting has been completely covered in black.
A spokesperson from Clarks said: "The mural was only a temporary piece of art."
Duke St. So the Clark’s Shoes mural that added a much needed splash of colour here (albeit without permission on a ‘b’ listed gable) has been painted black! I’m missing the colour already! It’s back to being drab and dreich! Hopefully they will paint a big Glasgow Rose now! 🌹🎀 pic.twitter.com/cwrUXgGyFY
