A drive-through restaurant in Coatbridge could undergo significant alterations if a planning application is approved.
McDonald’s has requested North Lanarkshire Council give permission for various changes to its branch in Coatbank Street at Faraday Retail Park, including the construction of replacement drive through booths, additional cladding and fitting a new door.
The planning application also included images showing the type of external furniture the remodelled restaurant would feature.
The application does not indicate if or for how long the branch may need to be closed to allow the proposed work to be carried out.
One neighbouring business, DW Sports Fitness, has been formally notified of this application.
Further details of the application, which has at time of writing received no comments or objections, can be viewed on North Lanarkshire Council’s website using the planning reference 22/01264/FUL.
