The co-founder of a Community Champions Award-nominated organisation tells of frustration after her bike was stolen.
Carol Thompson, member of the Glasgow Gals Cycling Club, noticed her vehicle was taken last Friday.
After chaining it to the bike rack at Partick Station, she left to meet a friend and was devastated when she returned to an empty railing and no signs of the lock.

She said: "I am frustrated and gutted. I have lived in Glasgow since 2014 and this is the first time I had a bike stolen.
“It was also my first-ever new bike and I only bought it in May last year.
“It was a treat to myself, since throughout the pandemic, I haven’t really bought myself anything and I thought I deserved it.
“Other than this, I always had second-hand bikes."
Following the discovery, the amateur cyclist called Police Scotland, who took her details and confirmed that an investigation is underway.
The East Dunbartonshire resident used the vehicle frequently, both for getting around the city and for fun.
For the latter, she was part of the group that founded the Glasgow Gals, five years ago.
Based in Glasgow Green, they aim to bring women together through physcical activity and for their inspiring work, they are nominated for the Glasgow Times' Community Champions Award.

Carol added: “I use it all the time, I was out on it all day of Friday. I was recently made redundant, so I was using it to be out and about in the city, meeting friends and travelling to a meeting.
"Fortunately, I know a few organisations who have some reconditioned bikes, so I might see them and a few of my friends and fellow bike club members have also offered me bikes if I need it, which is really good of them."
Despite these solutions, she is staying positive that the police force will be able to locate her property or that through social media, a member of the public will be able to help.
The bike is a Trek Dual Sport 1, with mudguards and a bike register sticker on it.
A spokesperson from Police Scotland said: “On Friday, October 21, we received a report of a bicycle being taken from the Merkland Court area of Glasgow, between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
"Enquiries are ongoing.”
