As well as sharing the spotlight with up-and-coming performers, the show will see Gayle reunited with fellow Shieldinch regular Ty McPhee (Calum Adams) who will play the story’s hero.
With rehearsals well underway Gayle said: “Spending Christmas on stage with the students of Scotland’s best and most exciting stage school will be truly magical.
"Brace yourself for pantomime that will be big, bold, and extraordinarily entertaining.
“I can’t wait."
The production will be directed by Reece Donnelly who has spoken of his excitement following recent casting news.
He said: “For me, Gayle is a household favourite.
“Everyone knows a character like Gayle that could be a Glasgow auntie or mum.
“She is just so relatable.
“I can't wait for the young performers to share the stage and grow their skills.
“Come along this Christmas, it’s going to be a belter.’’
