Dozens of people took to George Square today to participate in a demonstration.

The March of the Mummies took place in the city centre, today.

Organised by Pregnant Then Screwed, the action was part of a national initiative, demanding recognition, respect and action for working mums and dads.

Participants donned Halloween costumes, including Wonderwoman and mummies, and carried signs such as "We want properly paid parental leave for all" and "Childcare is the key to gender equality".

Many showed up with their children.

Glasgow Times photographer Colin Mearns was at the protest.
