A Glasgow restaurant is slashing its prices to help people be able to enjoy a meal out amid rising costs.
We previously reported that the Japanese eatery Mikaku had launched a £1 ramen lunch deal to celebrate Japan Week Festival from October 26 to November 1.
But now bosses at the Queen Street venue have decided to continue serving cheap eats after discovering that it was the only way some could afford to eat out.
It comes as the cost-of-living crisis continues to affect people and businesses, with numerous city restaurants closing in recent months.
Mikaku will cut the prices of their ramen dishes by 50% - including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

The deal will be available from 11am to 4pm from Monday to Friday.
Dario Bernardi from Mikaku said: "Everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment, and what we heard from customers during Japan Week was that the promotion encouraged people to eat out - some customers had said that they haven't eaten out in months or even years due to not being able to afford it.
"We want to welcome everyone to Mikaku, for a warm bowl of Ramen in great surroundings, so this deal will run until at least the end of the year."
