A man has been accused of repeatedly choking a woman and making her unconscious.
Christopher Keenan, 25, allegedly lashed out at the woman at two flats in Glasgow's Knightswood between November 2019 and July 2021.
Court papers state Keenan, of Dalmuir, firstly threw her onto a bed before seizing her by the neck.
He is said to have repeatedly kissed her, hit her face and pursued her to the floor.
It is there Keenan is said to have put his hands around the woman's neck and throat then compressed it.
The woman's breathing is claimed to have been restricted and she was rendered unconscious.
The charge goes on to say that in January 2020 Keenan head-butted her then repeatedly struck her head with a framed picture.
Keenan is claimed to have gone on to compress the woman's neck - restricting her breathing.
Further allegations say he forced the woman to the floor and compressed her neck in April 2020.
Threats of violence are said to have been uttered to her and he punched her on the head.
The charge states Keenan then placed his hands around her neck and throat making her unconscious.
Keenan is also claimed to have thrown a nappy at her, pulled her by the hair and placed a knife against then across her throat.
Allegations say that Keenan lunged towards her, swore and struck a door on July 8, 2021.
All the allegations are said to be to the woman's injury and to the danger of her life.
Keenan faces a separate charge of failing to adhere to bail conditions by contacting the woman in late July 2021.
Keenan pleaded not guilty to the two charges at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
A trial has been fixed for February next year by Sheriff Iain Fleming.
