The big Christmas tree is going up on George Square today.
Glasgow City Council confirmed that the Norway spruce arrived in the city centre yesterday and workers were spotted this morning fitting it.
Equipped with cranes, gardening tools and vans, the men were setting up the tree ahead of this Sunday's light switch-on.

The festive decorations, including on the lampposts and the Walter Scott monument, were also being tested in the daylight and the nativity scene was being built.
The big festive event will welcome the ballot winners this weekend, with a special performance by Scottish singer Callum Beattie and fireworks.
