A heartbroken family has paid tribute to their husband, father and grandad who died in a road crash in Rutherglen.
John Laird, 80, from Glasgow, was killed after a Mercedes C220 was involved in a crash with a Ford Mondeo last Friday.
The collison happened before midnight at 11.50pm on Mill Street at the junction with King's Park Avenue.
Mr Laird’s family said: “We are heartbroken and shocked at the loss of our much loved John, a husband, father and grandad.
"He will be sorely missed.
"We are comforted by the kind messages from friends and family who knew him well and appreciated all he did for them.”

Michael McManamon
John was the driver of Mercedes C220 and we previously reported that his passenger Michael McManamon, 73, from Glasgow, also died.
The 34-year-old male driver of the Ford Mondeo was not injured and has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Sergeant Gemma Blackadder, Lanarkshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with both deceased’s family and friends.
“Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances and I would urge anyone who may be able to help and who hasn’t yet spoken to police to get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 4274 of 18 November, 2022.”
