A probe is underway after ‘c***’ was scrawled on the office door of a Conservative councillor in Glasgow’s city chambers.
Council officials have launched an investigation into the source of the abusive message, which was discovered on Cllr Thomas Kerr’s door.
A spokeswoman for Glasgow City Council said the incident was “wholly unacceptable”. It is understood the abuse was written in blue permanent marker.

Cllr Kerr, one of two Conservative councillors in the city, said he couldn’t comment on the case as an internal investigation is ongoing.
The council spokeswoman said: “The appalling abusive language found on Councillor Kerr’s office door was wholly unacceptable and we are currently investigating how this could have happened.”
Cllr Kerr, who represents Shettleston and leads the city’s Conservative group, was first elected in 2017 and held onto his seat in May’s elections, when his party lost six councillors.
