A road in Glasgow has been closed due to a crash.

A Trafficom information bulletin was issued at around 4.20pm on Thursday afternoon.

The collision has resulted in the northbound area of Keppochhill Road in the city's North being closed.

The closure is in place from Carlisle Street to Coxhill Street.

Emergency services are currently on the scene.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and use another route.

First Bus has also diverted their number 8 service via Wellfield Street, Atlas Road, Hawthorn Street and Ashfield Street due to the incident.

 

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they had been called to a road traffic collision just before 4pm and had sent two appliances to the scene.

Police confirmed that they were on the scene and that the crash occurred between two vehicles.

The drivers are being checked by paramedics.

No further detail was given on the injuries of those involved. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.55 pm on Thursday, November 24, 2022, police received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Keppochhill Road, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended the scene and SAS are currently assessing both drivers those involved in the incident.

"Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the crash."

The road was reopened at 6.30pm.
