A SCOTTISH radio station has switched to Christmas music only.
Pure Radio kicked off its festive mantra today by proclaiming if it’s not Christmas music, then they don’t want to hear it.
They claim to be the first mainstream Scottish station ever to play nothing but Christmas hits and festive hidden gems.
Robin Galloway, Pure Radio Scotland’s breakfast host, said: “It’s never been done on radio in this country before and the listeners are going to love the wall-to-wall Christmas tunes.
“We’re standing by for our phone lines to light up like a Christmas tree and are ready to be snowed under with messages from delighted listeners.”
The station launched its switch on with a full-blown Christmas Party at 8am – with Annie the Alpaca playing the part of Rudolph live in studio.
The Pure Radio carol singers made sure the festive hits were belted out in style and even Santa Claus himself stopped by for a Ho Ho Hold on a second you can’t be serious.
Pure Radio is available across Scotland on DAB FM and via the Pure Radio app. Or ask your smart speaker to Play Pure Radio Scotland.
