A man has died after being hit by a car in Paisley.
We previously reported that police officers had sealed off the area at Brediland Road on Sunday morning due to a crash.
The force was urging people to avoid the area due to the 'serious' nature of the incident.
Now they have revealed that a 63-year-old pedestrian has died at the scene after being hit by a vehicle just after midnight.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident, but cops say they are continuing to investigate what happened.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.20am on Sunday, November 27, 2022, officers were called to a report of a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
"The pedestrian, a 63-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.”
