Detective Constable Katrina Keogh said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the fire; however at this time, we believe that, for whatever reason, it was deliberate.
“Officers are currently checking CCTV from the area but would appeal to anyone not yet spoken to by police who may have a doorbell or private CCTV footage that may have captured images that could help our investigation.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously around the car, which was parked in the street, between 9.50pm and 10.20pm, or who maybe saw a vehicle not familiar to the cul-de-sac around that time.
“Any information can be passed to Police Scotland via 101, quoting reference number 3495 of Sunday, November 27, 2022. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
