Police have provided an update on an incident after a street in Glasgow was taped off.
We reported that cops and ambulance crews had descended on Bain Street earlier today and a police cordon was put in place.

Officers were seen carrying out investigations of the area.
Now the force has revealed that they were called to an assault.
A man has been rushed to hospital while cops continue to investigate the scene.

A force spokesperson said: “We were called around 11.25am on Wednesday, November 30, to a report of an assault on Bain Street, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University hospital for treatment.
“Officers are carrying out enquiries in the area to establish the full circumstances of what has happened.”
