The Alchemist has revealed the opening date for its first Glasgow location, promising to bring a signature flair for 'molecular mixology' to the city later this month.
Known for show-stopping cocktails created with an 'obsessive eye for detail', the group will open its doors to customers at George Square from Friday, December 23 with bookings available from Tuesday, December 27.
A sneak peek at the bar and restaurant's menu shows that we're in for a treat with dishes including crispy bao buns and tempura prawn lollipops served alongside whimsically named drinks like 'the Colour-Changing One' or a 'Cherry Poppins' served with a cherry fog bubble.
The hugely popular Alchemist group already has one Scottish branch in Edinburgh with another due to open early next year.
When the news of a Glasgow location broke in January, brand director Jenny McPhee said: "When we opened our Edinburgh venue, we knew we would feel right at home in Scotland.
"It was inevitable that we set our sights on a second venue north of the border.”
“Glasgow is a cultural and creative hub and we’re excited to bring our immersive drinking and dining experience to the heart of the city."
The Alchemist Glasgow is located at Unit 2 in George House on George Square.
