A girl has been charged after a pupil was 'attacked' at a Glasgow school.
The alleged assault took place at a high school in the city's East End on Tuesday and a teacher was reportedly forced to step in to intervene.
The teacher was not injured.
Cops were called and charged a 13-year-old girl in connection.
A report will be sent to the Scottish Children's Reporters Administration.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received a report of a pupil being assaulted at a school in Glasgow on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
“Enquiries were carried out and a 13-year-old girl was charged in connection.
"She was the subject of a report to the Scottish Children's Reporters Administration."
Glasgow City Council has said that the school has since liaised with the alleged victim's family to provide support.
A spokesperson said: “This has been reported as a serious incident and this type of behaviour will not be tolerated and will be dealt with through the correct process.
“The incident involved one pupil and the teacher who acted quickly to intervene was not injured.
“The school has been in touch with the pupil’s family who was targeted to offer support.”
