A top DJ has remixed a Glasgow theatre school’s festive hit to create a “Christmas dancefloor banger”.
George Bowie has given the UK Theatre School’s song A Million Reasons, first released last year when Christmas concerts were cancelled due to covid, the ‘GBX treatment’ in the hopes of raising funds for the school’s scholarship programme.

George whose daughter, Miley attends UK Theatre School for weekly classes, said: “I loved the original sound when I first heard it and decided to pluck up the courage to ask the school’s principal Lizanne if she’d let me add some GBX magic.
“I was pleased when she agreed and I also reckon it’s set to be a Christmas dance-floor banger.”
The original track was penned by award-winning songwriter John McLaughlin who has previously worked with Rod Stewart, Busted and Blue.
John said: “When I heard George’s plan I was really chuffed, and I love his remastering of the music and lyrics.
“The students’ voices are first-class and I’m sure they’ll be delighted with the new version.”

George will now play the revamped track on his Friday and Saturday night radio show GBXperience as well as during live gigs.
UK Theatre School principal Lizanne Lambie Thomson said: “We love John’s song-writing work and his total enthusiasm for the project was fantastic.
“Now George is backing it too and he’s created something very different and special for the track.
“We all can’t wait to dance along to it.”
