The 5G will be able to help business across the airport such as allowing customers to use real-time inventories and smart carts instead of needing to scan their purchases at checkout.
The technology also has the potential to support a range of the latest airport services including contactless check-in and digital passport controls.
Andrea Dona, UK Network and Development Director at Vodafone, said: “Millions of passengers use these airports every year, so we’re delighted to be able to give them fast data speeds, however busy it gets. Meanwhile, each of these airports have an important role to play in their region and their local economy.
"So, it’s great to be able to supply the connectivity they need to continue to grow and succeed.”
