A Still Game actor has responded to online criticism that he is 'middle class'.
Greg Hemphill, known for his role as Craiglang pensioner Victor McDade in the series, recently came under fire on Twitter for being 'nothing like' the characters he portrays.
The 52-year-old, who was born in Springburn and spent much of his childhood in Canada, responded to the comment in good humour by explaining how acting works.

He wrote: "I deserve this call out. Confession time everybody.
"I’m not a 75-year-old pensioner. I don’t live in the tough hood of Craiglang. I’m an actor.
"That’s right, an actor, god damn your eyes. *swigs champagne*"

The joke was well-received by fans, including one who said: "F*** sake I thought Still Game was a documentary."
Another added: "Devastated to find out yer man Arnold Schwarzenegger is not in fact Danny DeVito’s twin."
