A Glasgow MP has urged people to apply for a cost of living payment before the deadline.
Anne McLaughlin is encouraging pensioners or people who know a pensioner to make sure they apply for a £324 payment - which they are legally entitled to - before Sunday, December 18.
She said: "40% of people don't claim Pension Credit but if they successfully apply by Sunday, December 18, they will also get a £324 cost of living payment."

Applications can be done by calling the pension credit claim helpline on 0800 99 12 34 or online at apply-for-pension-credit.service.gov.uk.
When applying for the payment, ensure you have information to hand about your National Insurance number, bank details, housing costs, and information about income, savings and investments.
RT this so that every single person who IS a pensioner or KNOWS a pensioner can make sure they get what they're legally entitled to. 40% of people don't claim #PensionCredit but if they successfully apply by 18th Dec (Sunday), they will also get a £324 #CostOfLiving payment. pic.twitter.com/7MEJ1RkNEL
