Still Game duo Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill shared their appreciation for fans old and new as they take over a Glasgow pub.

The famous TV stars turned The Dirty Duchess on Argyle Street into The Clansman (the oldest and only pub in fictional Craigland) for a festive Jack and Victor pop-up.

Dozens of fans queued for over an hour outside the pub to meet the pair and snap up Still Game-themed products from their Jack and Victor drinks brand.

Ford, who plays Jack, and Greg, who plays Victor, were honoured that fans had made it to the event amid the frosty temperatures and rail strikes.

Ford said: "They're freezing out there, and they're likely to get angry because of two things: the freezing cold and no alcohol.

"That's going to be taken out on somebody, and it's bound to be us."

Greg said: “At ten days to Christmas it warms the heart that folk have come down to see us. It’s really cool.”

After launching the Jack and Victor whisky brand in 2021, Ford and Greg have enjoyed not only working together after Still Game but getting to spend time meeting fans around Scotland.

The comedians are bringing their products, including Jack and Victor marmalade and pyjamas, around the country in a series of pop-up shops ahead of Christmas.

Ford said: “We went all around Scotland, we’re going back to Inverness on Tuesday, and this was our opportunity to come to Glasgow.

“Because the post is going to be tricky and if anyone was going to be disappointed, we didn’t like the sound of that.

"That’s why we’re here today to get them signed and on their way.”

Greg added: “The last day of the post is tomorrow, which is a shock to everybody.

“Planes are grounded the last couple of days, trains have been off, and people still turn up so we’re really, really grateful.”

The duo shared that their favourite thing about travelling around is the surprise of meeting the next generation of Still Game fans.

Greg said: “It’s amazing to meet the kids, cause you think, well the show finished three or four years ago so maybe they found the show on the streaming services and that kind of thing.

“And when you see a little kid dressed up as Isa, Navid, Jack, or Victor, it’s nice.”

Ford added: “We’ve got a generation of fans now that weren’t born when the show was aired.

“Their mothers and fathers have shown them. That’s what always surprises us.

“I don’t know how long that’s going to last but it’s lasted about 20 years so far.”
