Police have launched an investigation after a burnt out vehicle was left abandoned at a Glasgow cemetery this week.
At around 10.15am on Tuesday, December 13 cops received a report of the wreckage at the Lambhill Cemetery in the North of the city.
Shocking images shared last night by community group No1seems2care appear to show a white van which has been destroyed by flames with one concerned member of the public claiming that remains of the vehicle have been left to frost over for three days.
Officers have now said that they are treating the act as wilful and will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
It is understood that arrangements have been made to remove the vehicle.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a burnt out vehicle on Tresta Road, Glasgow around 10.15am on Tuesday, December 13.
“Arrangements are being made for the vehicle to be recovered.
"It is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
