Audiences got a surprise when a special guest appeared at a Glasgow performance of a Christmas classic.
The Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) delivered their annual performance of The Snowman to a sold-out crowd at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Saturday.
The RSNO have been performing the classic score by Howard Blake to audiences for the last 20 years, and this year they were joined on stage by none other than Aled Jones.
Aled's recording of Walking in the Air has become synonymous with the film and the festive season ever since its release in 1985.
Based on Raymond Briggs' 1978 picture book, the story follows a young boy who builds a snowman that turns to life and this year marks the 40th anniversary of the award-winning film.
