Still game star Gavin Mitchell is set to make a special guest appearance at the Barras this weekend.
Mitchell, best known for playing Robert "Boaby the Barman" Taylor in the hit BBC show, will be visiting the popular East End venue as part of its midnight opening event on Christmas Eve.
On the special festive day, the markets will be open from 10am until midnight, a long-standing tradition within the venue.
The Barras took to Facebook to make the announcement.
They said: "Join us for our midnight close on Saturday, with a surprise guest appearance from Still Game’s Gavin Mitchell."
Mitchell has previously stated his "adoration" for the Barras.
As the Glasgow Times has previously reported, Mitchell spoke highly of the venue when visiting in August for the market's 100-year anniversary.
He said: “It’s smashing to be here, it’s a real honour and a privilege.
“I’ve been coming here for about 50 years, half the life of the market.
“My granny and I used to go to the Paddy’s market on a Saturday, and we came here on a Sunday.
“It’s a huge part of my history, the Barras, I just adore it and I come all the time, it’s very very close to my heart."
Alongside the 56-year-olds visit, the Christmas Eve event will also feature late-night shopping, as well as a visit from Santa and his sleigh.
