Glasgow Clan hockey team collected food bank donations as part of an appeal for Renfrewshire Foodbank.
At their home game on December 17 at Braehead Arena, the hockey players organised a collection, asking fans to bring in items needed for the food bank's emergency food parcels.
Fans were asked to drop off much-needed items like cleaning supplies, toiletries, and non-perishable food items at a collection point that was open until 7pm when they faced the Sheffield Steelers.
Gareth Chalmers, managing director of Braehead Arena said: “People are finding it hard to find the money to buy food to put food on the table for themselves and their family.
“It was difficult before the current cost-of-living crisis to survive financially, but it’s even harder now."
