Councillors from across North Lanarkshire have raised hundreds of pounds for a local cancer charity.
The Christmas Jumper Fundraiser raised nearly £700 to help the Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust.
Provost Kenneth Duffy organised the event and invited elected members to don their Christmas jumpers and festive ties.
In their holiday kit, the councillors donated funds to help the independent charity, which provides volunteer drivers to take cancer patients to hospital appointments, clinics, and day-care facilities.
Provost Duffy said: “This is a charity which provides incredible care and support for local people and one that is close to my heart.
"The drivers and volunteers are real local heroes, and I’d like to say a massive thank-you to my fellow councillors for their kind and generous donations to a brilliant cause.”
