A prisoner has died in custody at a jail near Glasgow on Christmas Eve.
The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) confirmed that 49-year-old Robert Campbell had been found dead at HMP Low Moss in Bishopbriggs on December 24.
Campbell was sentenced at Falkirk Sheriff Court in 2021.
The police have been informed and an investigation has been launched.
An SPS spokesperson said: "Robert Campbell, 49, a prisoner at HMP Low Moss has died on December 24, 2022.
"He was sentenced at Falkirk Sheriff Court in 2021.
"Police Scotland have been advised and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
"A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course."
