Incredible images reveal some of the murals that were painted across Glasgow this year.
Govanhill
Mural season kicked off in the springtime with popular Glasgow mural team Conzo and Globel, also known as Conzo and Ciaran, finishing a Govanhill mural in March.

Drumchapel
A colourful mural commissioned by social enterprise Fortune Works and painted by artist Barry the Cat was unveiled to hundreds of onlookers in May.

Partick
Artist Molly Hankinson revealed her first gable end in Partick in June.
The work is inspired by Partick legends Big Rachel and Margaret Thomson.

In July, three new murals were painted over murals from the 2014 Commonwealth Games next to Partick bus station.
The murals were painted by London-based artist Voyder and Glasgow artist Mark Worst and depict Merlin, Lobey Dosser, and a nod to Partick wildlife.
They were completed as part of the Yardworks Grid project.

Cambuslang
A new mural in Cambuslang was inspired by a young boy who gifted his home-grown sunflower to the town.

Garnethill
A city centre lane was transformed by artist Ida Henrich who completed the nature-inspired mural in a collaboration between the community, St Aloysius College and the Glasgow School of Art.

Govan
Well-known Glasgow mural artist Smug painted a new mural on Govan Road inspired by Govan-born 'Daffodil King' Peter Barr.
The child picking the daffodil was named Georgie in a tribute to one of Govan Housing’s long-serving management committee members Georgie Hay.

Trongate
Famous Glasgow graffiti artist Bobby McNamara, known as Rogue One, completed a mural of Thomas Muir in Trongate.
Thomas Muir has been dubbed the 'Father of Scottish Democracy' and is located facing McNamara's Billy Connolly mural.

Gorbals
Three paintings were revealed in October on the rounded tanks of the Strathclyde Distillery in the Gorbals.
The murals were painted by artists Molly Hankinson, Michael Corr and Rogue One, with additional typography by Ellie Mills.

Maryhill
More than 100 locals created a new mural in collaboration with Maryhill Hub.
The project went through the summer as residents were supported by North Kelvinside artist Blair Thomson.

Baillieston
A heart-warming mural by Bobby McNamara, known as Rogue One, was painted on the side of Beechwood Veterinary Centre in Bailieston.
The painting depicts a cat and a dog lying in a cardboard box.

As a great year for murals comes to an end, next year we can hope to see even more as the council looks to expand the mural trail.
Glasgow City Council agreed in September that they would seek out new legal graffiti spaces to give artists more spaces to work.
