A popular neighbourhood Italian restaurant will close after 7 years.
Raffaelle's Italian Kitchen & Bar in Bearsden will close 'with great sadness' on January 8.
The family restaurant announced the closure on social media on Tuesday.
Owners Ralph and Laura made the tough decision to close to 'prioritise their family's health'.
They thanked their customers for their support and announced that staff 'will be kept on with the new owners'.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Ralph and Laura wrote: "It’s goodbye from us at Raffaelle’s after a wonderful 7 years, it’s with great sadness we announce the closure of Raffaelle’s Italian Kitchen & Bar.
"We have spent the last 7 years building a business we are so proud of.
"The decision has not come lightly but we are prioritising our family health and closing this chapter in our lives.
"We want to thank you for all your support over the years, especially through a very challenging time, Covid.
"Our last day trading will be Sunday 8th January, we hope you can pop in for our final week for one last time.
"All staff are being kept on with the new owners and all vouchers will still be redeemable as per t&c’s.
"Kindest regards, Ralph and Laura."
The new owners plan to open in two weeks under new management and retain both chefs and front-of-house staff members.
