A popular supermarket chain in Glasgow city centre has closed down.
The unit once occupied by Sainsbury's on Bothwell Street appears to be empty, with 'to let' signs appearing in front of the shop.
A notice on the store's cash machine also reads that the ATM closed on December 3.
A Sainsbury's spokesperson said: "“We made the difficult decision to close Sainsbury’s Glasgow Bothwell Street Local last year.
"We have been supporting colleagues affected by the closure in every way we can, which included exploring opportunities for alternative roles within Sainsbury’s.
“We regularly review our property estate and the decision to close a store, which is based on a range of factors, is never taken lightly. Customers can continue to shop with us at nearby Sainsbury’s stores including our Gordon Street and Argyle Street Local stores.”
