Cops have taped off a pub after it was reportedly destroyed by vandals.
The Robert Hamilton, a former Wetherspoons pub in Airdrie which is permanently closed, has allegedly been targeted.
Reports on social media claim that the pub's doors have been "smashed in" while "smashed-up chairs are lying outside" and police tape has been put around the doors.
One resident claimed they saw a group of people causing damage to the building, saying they "destroyed the place".

The force confirmed that they had been informed about the pub being vandalised.
An investigation has been launched.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of vandalism to a premises on Bank Street, Airdrie, around 11.05am on Monday, January 2, 2023.
“Enquiries are at an early stage and ongoing.”
