A popular Glasgow cocktail bar has announced its closure this week.
The Slug and Lettuce, a pub chain which operates across the UK, first opened the doors to its St Vincent Street branch in 2015.
Since then it has become a firm favourite with city centre revellers thanks to its prime location, boozy brunches and drink deals.

On Saturday, however, the team announced via social media that the spot would be closing immediately in a post that said: "It’s nearly time to say goodbye from us.
"Today is our last day of partying and we want to THANK YOU for all of the fabulous memories we have made together.
"We have loved dancing with you, hosting your celebrations and welcoming you for a catch-up but all good things must come to an end.
"Now, let’s cheers to our last day."

Regulars were quick to share their shock over the sudden closure with one commenting: "This seems to be a last-minute decision as been no indication it was to close."
Another added: "Sad to hear this, really enjoyed S&L, was planning to come at the end of the month with friends."
A third said: "I didn't know you were closing or I'd have been in for some cocktails."
An e-mail sent via Slug and Lettuce mailing list this morning confirmed that the bar is now permanently shut saying: "Goodbye is never easy.
"We are sad to share that we are now closed.
"Glasgow, you have been a dream to party with."
