Owners of a neighbourhood restaurant have made the 'drastic decision' to close the venue for 'at least' a month in a bid to survive the cost-of-living crisis.
Finsbay in Milngavie announced the shock closure in a social media post on Sunday.
Owners explained that the 'last few years' had 'taken a toll' on the restaurant, with inflation, rising energy bills, and staffing struggles all impacting the business.

They said that the decision was made due to 'current pressures' which were affecting the current standards and business practices of Finsbay.
The award-winning group, which also owns Finsbay Flatiron in the West End and Fullbacks Pizza in Milngavie, said they would be bringing a 'new and improved' model to the venue 'when it reopens'.
Owners thanked the 'loyal' customers that frequented the restaurant despite 'economic pressures' interfering with the restaurant's standards.

They claimed that members of staff would be moving to their other venues.
Finsbay owners wrote in a Facebook post: "Hi Everyone. Unfortunately, the last few years have taken their toll on Finsbay.
"With recent increases in produce costs, electricity bills and staffing requirements we have had to make a drastic decision regarding the venue.
"We will be closing the doors of Finsbay for at least the next four weeks starting [Sunday evening].
"This has not been an easy decision and not one we have taken lightly.
"We don’t feel we can continue the standards and business model under the current pressures.
"The good news is we will be bringing a new and improved model of our venue when we reopen.
"One that excites us and we think will engage with all our clientele old and new.
"Firstly we wanted to say a huge thank you to all our customers who have been loyal and chosen to eat and drink local over the past few years.
"With the economic pressures, we have not always been as perfect as we would like but you have been patient and stuck with us and for that, we are extremely grateful.
"Our company still includes three other award-winning venues that will remain open (and accept all gift vouchers) during the closure period.
"Many of our staff will be moving to these other venues.
"Ongoing support to these units would be greatly appreciated.
"Also we ask if you don’t visit us please continue to eat and drink local.
"Any questions regarding the above please feel free to email us at info@finsbay.com.
"Thank you for all the support!
"Slàinte."
