A popular soft play area in East Kilbride announced its sudden closure on Monday.
Lollipop Land on Stewartfield Way claims it has been forced to close due to 'unforeseen circumstances' that were 'outwith the control' of the business.
The owners wrote in a Facebook post that they hoped to re-open at a new location soon but had not secured anything yet.
They didn't specify the reason for the closure or if staff would be kept on.
The announcement, posted on Lollipop Land's Facebook page, received an outpouring of comments from disappointed families that were 'gutted' about the closure.
Lollipop Land management team wrote: "Due to unforeseen circumstances outwith our control.
"Lollipop Land will be closed from today Monday, January 9 2023.
"Lollipop Land will be relocating to new premises in the near future and we will advise of the location as soon as possible."
The management team advised that they would update customers of any changes on their Facebook page, and issue refunds to any customers that had parties planned.
They said: "We will issue further updates on our Facebook page moving forward.
"We will be contacting all our customers who have birthday party bookings to issue deposit refunds.
"We can only apologise for any inconvenience caused. We would appreciate your support during this transition.
"It is with a heavy heart we have been forced to close.
"We value our staff and loyal customers who have supported us throughout.
"Thank you. Lollipop Land Management Team."
