A second indoor play centre for children claims it has been forced to close in East Kilbride.

BounceStation, which opened on Stewartfield Way in June 2022, announced the immediate closure 'due to circumstances outwith their control'.

The inflatable play centre is popular with families and operates in another location in Irvine.

We previously reported that Lollipop Land, located next to BounceStation, claimed it was also forced to close on Monday.

Families were shocked at the bombshell closures with many having to cancel pre-booked children's birthday parties.

Management of BounceStation assured customers that they would be contacted if they had existing bookings.

A spokesperson from BounceStation wrote to customers in a Facebook post: "Important. Unfortunately, due to circumstances outwith our control, we are having to close our doors as of today.

"All customers with existing bookings will be contacted within the next few days.

"Hopefully, see you guys again soon."

After dozens of parents reacted to the announcement, a spokesperson clarified to families that they would refund all bookings and were 'devastated' by the news.

They wrote: "Just to clarify, the reason for closing is due to an issue with our landlord that is out of our control and all bookings will be fully refunded.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and we are just as devastated as you."
