A BRIDGERTON star has thanked a Glasgow hospital while announcing their father's death.
Ruby Barker, who plays Marina Thompson in the Netflix period drama series, paid tribute to her late dad on Instagram.
She also thanked staff at Glasgow Royal Infirmary for their care.
In an emotional statement, she wrote: "Rest in peace Daddy, I love you more than life itself, I hope I did and will continue to do you proud.
"This world is less lighter without you, I will never get over this.
"Thank you to Glasgow Royal Infirmary."
While she was born in London, Barker spent many of her teenage years in Glasgow.
Many fans and friends began sharing their condolences including Julia Quinn, the author of the Bridgerton books upon which the television series is based.
Barker had a main role in the first series of the hit show as Marina, a cousin of the Fetherington family who Colin Bridgerton becomes infatuated with.
In series two, she makes a guest appearance.
