A POPULAR soft play area has announced that it is reopening just days after its shock closure.

We previously reported that Lollipop Land in East Kilbride closed due to 'unforeseen circumstances' that were 'outwith the control' of the business.

The owners had hoped to reopen at a new location soon but had not secured anything yet.

The move had left customers 'gutted', with one commenting: "This [is] so, so rubbish. It’s a brilliant place to take the kids. You’ll be back up and running in no time I’m sure."

Now in a U-turn, the team has revealed plans to reopen again on Friday, January 20.

A statement shared on its social media on January 16 read: "Lollipop Land is delighted to announce that we will be opening our doors again, same location, on Friday, January 20 at 9.30am.

"First of all we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our family, friends and especially our loyal customers for their kind words and support through this time.

"We will be offering a complimentary goodie bag for all children attending on Friday.

"We really missed you all."

It comes after we also reported that a second indoor play area, the nearby Bounce Station, had closed 'due to circumstances outwith their control'.
