A hoard of cash and jewellery has been stolen from a house in broad daylight.
While the occupants were not home, their property on Hallidale Crescent in Renfrew was ransacked on Sunday afternoon.
The incident has left the owners 'distressed' as the jewellery taken was of sentimental value.
The theft was reported to the police, who believe the house was targeted at some time between 3.40pm and 5pm.

They are scouring CCTV to track down who is responsible.
Detective Constable Gary Bruce of Paisley CID said: “The jewellery stolen is of tremendous sentimental value to the owners, both of whom are understandably very upset and distressed at the break-in and theft.
"I am keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between midday and 5pm on Sunday, even if you’re not sure your information is relevant, please do contact us and let us decide.
"It could prove vital in our investigation.
"I would also like to ask any drivers who were in the area with dash cam to check their images as they may have captured footage which would assist our inquiry.”
