A TEEN has been arrested following an alleged incident in Bishopbriggs.
The 18-year-old is accused of "hurling abusive and offensive" language towards police officers on Beech Road.
The incident occurred around 11pm on Friday night.
He is due to appear in court at a later date.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged and is due to appear in court at a later date.
"The incident happened on Beech Road, Bishopbriggs at 11pm on January 20, 2023."
East Dunbartonshire Police issued a statement on social media following the incident: "Police officers are part of the community and this will not be accepted as part of the job."
