Images reveal the aftermath of a shocking flood which engulfed a road in Milngavie yesterday.
A burst 36-inch main pipe caused dramatic flooding at the junction of Auchenhowie Road and Glasgow Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Several postcodes and over 100,000 properties in and around the city were affected and Scottish Water confirmed that they had since restored water supply to the areas.
While residents of the G3 area are still reportedly having some issues on Wednesday, teams have been working as quickly as possible to resolve the situation.
Our photographer Colin Mearns was there this morning to capture the scenes.
While the flooding looks to have significantly reduced from yesterday, a large puddle remains under a bridge on the road.
The area surrounding a huge gaping hole in the road has been fenced off and Scottish Water crews are inspecting it.
Meanwhile, further along, the road is saturated in mud as the water subsides.
