AN investigation is underway after several cars were damaged in the city's Southside.
Cops received five reports on Thursday, January 26 of vehicles being damaged on Tantallon Road, Holmbank Avenue, Coustonholm Road and Tassie Street in Shawlands.
Enquiries into the incidents are ongoing.
Pictures sent to the Glasgow Times from resident Beáta Pál show her car on Tantallon Road with its rear window smashed.
A traffic cone can be seen lying behind the car in one image.
Beáta says she was "shocked" to find her car damaged on Thursday morning at around 11am when she left home to attend a hospital appointment.
As a result of the damage to her car, Beáta missed her appointment and has had to cancel two more as her car will not be fixed until Friday.
The 35-year-old said: "I was standing in shock beside my car for about five minutes because I've never been in this situation, I didn't even know what to do or how to make a claim.
"I put it on social media and found it wasn't an isolated incident."
Beáta says she has been left feeling "violated" by the incident and says she is saddened that someone has done this without thinking of the consquences.
The mum-of-two said: "I felt completely violated, nothing has ever happened to my car, not somebody going out of their way to cause damage.
"I went through the motions of shock and anger and feeling completely violated, and I felt deep sadness of how one human being can do this to another without thinking besides the damage, what they've caused.
"The consequences of that for me right now is I can't go out of the house until next Friday, when they can fix it, so for more than a week I don't have a vehicle.
"My partner is working, I've got two children, and I had to cancel several hospital appointments, so no time is a great time for you to have any nonsense caused, but right now it's even more of a struggle."
She added: "I feel like my confidence has been completely rocked."
Beáta says nothing was stolen from her vehicle.
Another resident on the street, who did not wish to be named, said they heard a "loud bang" at around 5am.
They also found the back window of their car had been smashed with a traffic cone found lying behind it.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "On Thursday, January 26, 2023, police received five reports of damage to vehicles in the Tantallon Road, Holmbank Avenue, Coustonholm Road and Tassie Street areas of Glasgow.
"Enquiries into these incidents are ongoing."
