Plans have been submitted to open a cafe near Barras Market.
If successful, a new venue could be set up at 212 Gallowgate, at a currently empty unit, at the corner of Gallowgate and Kent Street.
The plans for the 144 sq m property were validated last week and Glasgow City Council is expected to make a decision by Friday, March 17.
