A man was attacked by a thug who fled the scene in a getaway car.
The 25-year-old victim was walking along Eglinton Street on the evening of Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
At around 10.30pm, a car stopped beside him and a man got out and hit him on the head.
He got back in the car which then sped off towards Bridge Street and the city centre.
Cops are trying to track down the attacker and they are also eager to hear from a passer-by who stopped to help the victim.
PC Reece Paterson-Hogg said: “Despite extensive enquiries, we have been unable to track down the person responsible for this attack.
“We are appealing for anyone who was in the area or who may have dash-cam footage from Eglinton Street around this time.
“Think back, were you in this area and did you see anything unusual around this time?
”Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3564 of November 30, 2022.
